TruckTech was founded by Andy Vieira who began his career as a mechanic in the late 1970s in his home country of Brazil. He worked on everything from Heavy Duty engines to hydraulic systems. By 1982, Vieira had been working in America as a mechanic and was promoted to Shop Foreman where he spent the next 17 years. Since Vieira was in such great demand, he started his first one-bay shop in New Jersey. Now after over a decade of growth, the company moved to its current location in Newark featuring over 45,000 square feet to meet all of your service needs.

In 2013, TruckTech purchased the assets of AG Lion, now AV Hydraulics. The acquisition enables the company to expand on the growing hydraulic business. An additional 20,000 square feet of warehouse space has been added to house our official Hydraulic Cylinder Warranty Center.
